Fiber Arts | Felting: Make Your Own Wet Felted Gifts Workshop!

Wet felting fun!

Select a date from the drop-down menu.

In this 3-hour workshop, you will discover the fundamentals of wet felting through two different techniques. With warm water, soap, and the rubbing and rolling of the wool (a little elbow grease 😉 the fibers gradually bind together to create felt.
You will take home:
2 felted soaps
2 felted bookmarks (and possibly more, if time allows!)
Felted Soaps: You will wrap an all-natural soap in merino wool roving, then decorate it with colorful wool to create a beautiful, marbled covering that doubles as a gentle exfoliating washcloth. You will also receive an information sheet with tips on the benefits and care of your felted soap.
Felted Bookmarks: You will explore a different approach using sheets of pre-felted merino wool in a variety of colors. By layering colors and cutting shapes from the wool, you will bring your own unique design to life and create a bookmark that is truly one of a kind.
Join us for a chance to slow down, play with irresistibly soft wool, and enjoy the simple pleasure of making something beautiful with your own hands.
And the cherry on top? You will take home handmade pieces to use and enjoy—or gift to someone special. I believe handmade gifts are the best: each one is infused with a little bit of the person who made it!
A material fee of $10 (cash only) to be paid to the instructor at the start of the class.
No prior experience necessary. Ages 14+ welcome!
All materials included.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

Sylviane Collier is a fiber artisan, lifelong maker, and enthusiast of all things handmade. She strives to bring creativity into everything she does. Originally from Switzerland, Sylviane discovered the magic of wet felting over 20 years ago and quickly fell in love with working with wool. Since then, she has continued to explore the world of fiber arts, experimenting with materials, techniques, and new ways of creating. For Sylviane, making is even more meaningful when it’s shared. She loves sharing the joy of making and the sense of accomplishment that comes from creating something by hand. “Everyone has a creative spark—and sometimes all it takes is a little time, a handful of beautiful materials, and your hands to bring it to life.”
