What We Do

Woodworking Classes

Learn woodworking with the best instructors and methods... we have woodworking classes for all ages. Have your own project? Come and work in our space with help from our studio aids during Open Studio Time. Our Intro to the Woodshop class is a prerequisite. Check the calendar for dates!

Bench Space Rental Program

Are you an artist, crafts person, or need woodworking space and woodworking machines to create your project? We offer a 2400 sq ft space that is vibrant, community oriented, and invites creativity. Our woodworking, clay and glass areas have excellent equipment that is well-maintained.

Art and Crafts for Kids

Inspired by Waldorf & Sloyd methods, we offer creative play with a hands-on approach to natural materials for children as young as toddler age. We offer classes in Clay, Glass, Paper, Woodworking, Textiles & Sewing, and more. Parent-child classes allow adults to share in fun, quality time with kids. We also host birthday parties and fun events.

Craft Workshops for Adults

We teach quality, craft workshops such as clay, textiles, fused glass, macrame and natural dyes to name a few. We also host private craft events for team building, bachelorette, and birthday parties.

Outreach

Through our Craft2Gether program, we teach craft education to the community via the donation of Craft Kits that we design and make in our studio. We have partnerships with other like-minded organizations and work to support their goals through craft education.

Scholarships, Internships, & Fellowship

We offer scholarships for low-income community members who would not otherwise be able to pay for craft classes. Our Internship Program is for teens who want to learn about what we do. The Fellowship Program is for adult craft artists looking to further their craft journey.

Welcome to San Diego Craft Collective

Your Creative Space in San Diego

Catering to both professional level woodworkers and aspiring people in the community alike, our founders saw this as a place to make available a high-quality woodworking shop space and offer skilled craft education to individuals who would otherwise not have the means to purchase tools and machines or have access to such facilities and instruction. We are committed to creating a safe, educational, and inspiring learning space for both children and adults using safe materials and practices.
