ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

After 11 years in the corporate world, my curiosity for clay quickly turned into a passion. Since then, I’ve been fully dedicated to teaching pottery, wheel throwing, and continuing my clay education. I’m a self-taught potter who has honed my skills through workshops and lessons with talented local artist. In the studio, I’m currently obsessed with creating bubbly shapes in bold colors. As a teacher, I emphasize understanding the physics of clay, practicing patience, and embracing mistakes as part of the process. My favorite part of teaching is watching students fall in love with the process and grow confidence in the studio. – Briena Chavez
