Join us for a morning of macrame and make a pillow! Macrame projects are perfect for home decor, as they’re durable, versatile, and lend that boho chic look to any space. And, this macrame pillow project is perfect for the upcoming warm months of spring and summer relaxation, wherever you’re hanging out.

In this workshop, Instructor Jordan Masters will guide students as they learn to macrame their own pillow covers for a supplied white 12×20 pillow insert. *Note: the white pillow insert will show through the macrame pattern, so if students would like to have a different color, it is recommended they bring a pillowcase or cover to cover the pillow. Pillowcases are not included. The instructor recommends this pillow cover.

Students, please choose from the following macrame cord color options for your project: White, Black, Blue, Brown, Green.

No experience necessary. Ages 11+ welcome and ages 8-10 with an adult!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
I’m Jordan and I’m the hands behind the Knottery. I’m a Washingtonian/Californian, cat mama, and macramaker. I’ve always been an artsy person – as a child, I loved to knit, draw, paint, take photos, sing, perform in the school musicals, really anything that allowed me to be creative! After graduating college with an International Business degree, I entered the working world, spending about 5+ years in sales and recruiting. However, like most people, my job was heavily impacted in 2020 and I felt the universe urging me to get back to my creative roots. In the midst of a global pandemic, I left my job, took a leap of faith and dove head first into macramé and entrepreneurship. I now do several farmers’ markets each week, have my items in various locations throughout San Diego, and look forward to joining the SD Craft Collective and being able to share my love and passion of macramé with the community! – Jordan Masters

I Took this class today – it was my first class as a student at SD Craft collective and it was great! We had a full class of about 11 students. Every one of us were taking a macrame class for the first time, we varied from all ages and skill levels- which usually makes it harder in the teacher, nonetheless she handled our group perfectly! Instructions were given clearly, she kept us all busy and engaged, respected everyone’s crafting skills and helped us all! I had a great time and came home with a very beautiful macrame Pillow that I’ll be honored to display! Thank you! 🥰
