Special guest alert! Waldorf teacher and art therapist, Ms. Vicky, is joining us from Mexico for a few months! She will lead our Craft Studio classes as Spanish-immersion, Waldorf-inspired Craft Studio.

Join Ms. Vicky for stories and art and craft sessions in Spanish with a little English translation. The children will explore watercolor painting with therapeutic color theory and exploration and fiber arts in the Waldorf style.

The variety of mediums teach dexterity using safe materials. Each project encourages craftsmanship, follow-through, and material exploration. Art projects are switched up monthly, so repeat students are welcome and encouraged!

Drop-ins are welcome! Is your child curious about craft & taking a class with other children? We welcome trying things out. Choose ‘Drop In Date’ from the drop-down menu (please purchase 48 hours in advance so we can have supplies ready) and tell us which date your child will come in the ‘Notes’ section at checkout.

This class series moves from indoors to outdoors depending on the craft activity, so we suggest:

• Dressing in layers, bring a jacket, hat, apply sunscreen (if needed) so your child can adjust to the weather.
• Bring water in a refillable water bottle.
• Dress your child in comfortable clothes that can get messy, depending upon the craft, we may use paints that sometimes don’t wash out.

DIRECTIONS: Located in Liberty Station’s Arts District, you can find our studio at the end of the hallway on the 1st floor of the Dorothea Laub Music & Arts Center (Bldg 176) at the corner of Roosevelt & Truxtun, next to The Lot movie theater. There is plenty of free parking. Parking Lot Q is behind our studio — enter via the driveway off Dewey. Across the street in the Vons parking lot, it is also free. CLASS SIZE: 3 Min/6 Max. If the minimum is not met, you will receive a full refund or credit toward another class. Some classes welcome one-day visits. Purchase your child’s drop in ticket from the drop-down menu at least 48 hours in advance so we can have materials prepped.

REFUNDS: No refunds for tardiness or no-shows. For a refund (minus a 5% processing fee), you must cancel 7 days before the start of the class. After 7 days, we cannot offer refunds, as materials and supplies have already been purchased.

TRANSFERS: You may transfer your enrollment space to someone else, but transfers must happen for the entire course, and before the course begins. Please email us to let us know who’s coming.

San Diego Craft Collective’s Craft Studio Afternoon Kids Class is taught by invitation-only artist-educator instructors and Craft Collective staff, as students dive into a wide variety of traditional craft making during the school year.
