Each month, we offer a low‑cost Mending Open Studio, a welcoming space where you can work on your mending pile or creative upcycling projects while getting guidance from experienced sewists and menders. Come gather new ideas, approaches, and techniques as you make progress on your own project — and let us help you bring renewed life to something in your home or closet.

What to Bring: Your own item to work on–clothing or textiles that need repair, embellishment, or a creative refresh work perfectly.

How It Works: This low‑cost session is first come, first served. Simply arrive, sign in, and wait your turn for instructor guidance. The session will remain open during the scheduled times, and as you wait for assistance, you may work independently and chat with others.

Note: Instructors will not mend items for you—they are here to provide support, ideas, and direction. We also may not have exactly what your project needs for repair, so plan to bring any items you may want to work with if they are specific (e.g. a particular color or type of thread, elastic, embroidery floss, zipper, etc.)

Ages 12+ may attend independently. Ages 6–11 years are welcome with an assisting adult. If both adult and child will work on their own projects, please purchase two spaces. If an adult is only assisting a child, please purchase one space.
