Designed for Absolute Beginners! Ages 15+years welcome! Discover the joy of working with clay and experience the calming, hands-on process of pottery.
Have you always wanted to try pottery on the wheel, but weren’t ready to commit to a multi-week class? Or maybe it’s been years since you’ve thrown pottery and you’d like a refresher on the basics. This 1.5-hour beginner-friendly workshop is the perfect place to start.
With personalized instruction, you’ll learn foundational wheel-throwing techniques such as centering clay and forming simple shapes while building confidence at the wheel. This workshop is focused on exploration, practice, and skill-building in a relaxed, supportive environment. There is no pressure to create finished pieces.
Working with clay is also known for its therapeutic benefits, engaging both the mind and senses through creative, tactile play. Come with friends, family, or on your own, and enjoy a fun introduction to this timeless craft.
All materials, including clay, are provided. At the end of the workshop, you may choose your favorite piece(s) to be professionally trimmed, glazed, and fired for $20 per piece. Finished work will be ready for pickup approximately 3-4 weeks later.

We recommend that each student wear closed-toe shoes and bring an apron to wear and an older towel or a cloth rag.
