We currently offer monthly Handbuilding and Wheel-Throwing courses for Kids 6-12yrs, Teens, and Adults. Students will become familiar with low-fire and mid-fire clay while creating functional and sculptural ceramics. Learn about various methods of handbuilding forms — coils, slab construction, and clay pinching — and learn the basics of throwing pottery on the wheel — wedging, centering, throwing and trimming. Decorative techniques with glazes and colors will be explored. Students will create multiple pieces throughout the courses. No experience is necessary. Clay Open Studio is offered on the 1st and 3rd Fridays each month. You get access to our wheels, space for handbuilding, tools, clay, glazes, and firing are included in the price. Private ceramics lessons are also available.
