CRAFT2GETHER! San Diego Craft Collective is helping our community’s youth population through craft. We’re really good at making stuff! We’ve mobilized a group of skilled artisans and designers to design and prepare quality Craft Kits for children and provide free arts education. We sell Craft Kits to the public and for each kit sold, we donate one to a child in need. The program goal is multifaceted: Provide under-served children with quality craft projects and free arts education by professional craft artists — there is overwhelming evidence linking arts education to higher graduation rates, improved language skills, inventiveness, and critical thinking Give children and families a creative outlet during difficult times Provide meaningful craft projects that build hand skills using quality materials and professionally-designed projects that are age appropriate and fun Support craftspeople and artisans who get paid for project design, kit preparation and education Build partnerships with organizations who help serve this demographic — build each other up by providing free craft projects and education which helps them reach their goals and serve their mission How you can help: Click here to make a donation.
