San Diego Craft Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit craft education center located at Liberty Station in Point Loma, San Diego. We bring quality craft education to people of all ages and backgrounds through classes, camps, workshops, and community programs. Our disciplines include ceramics, fiber arts, glass arts, woodworking, garden & sustainability, and mixed media. We serve over 3,000 students annually and are deeply committed to making the arts accessible to our community.


Part-time Weekend Admin Team Member

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and personable Administrative Team Member to help keep San Diego Craft Collective running smoothly. This part-time role is central to our day-to-day operations — from managing workshop enrollment and communications to coordinating instructors and supporting studio flow. Key Responsibilities

Workshop & Enrollment Management

  • Oversee workshop attendance and maintain accurate enrollment records
  • Communicate with attendees regarding registration, scheduling, and changes
  • Manage workshop interest lists and enrollment calendars
  • Manage and enforce the Cancellation/Refund/Credit Policy
  • Execute Workshop Checklists for seamless event execution

Private Lessons & Group Events

  • Handle intake and responses for Private Lesson and Private Group Event requests
  • Coordinate scheduling and communication with instructors
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new instructors
  • Manage the invoice procedure for private lessons and group events

Communications

  • Manage organizational inboxes effectively and provide timely, professional responses
  • Develop and maintain FAQ and canned responses for efficient communication
  • Implement and optimize communications procedures

Studio Administration

  • Keep studio calendars up-to-date with relevant information
  • Enforce Studio Upkeep Guidelines for a clean and organized workspace
  • Oversee donation intake and ensure proper accounting of all donations
  • Assist in guiding volunteers and interns with meaningful tasks
Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with a PC and basic software applications
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Preferred

  • Experience in a creative, arts, or nonprofit environment
  • Experience managing schedules or calendars
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups
  • Self-motivated, highly accountable, and a creative problem solver
Compensation & Details
  • Pay: $20–$25/hr, based on experience
  • Type: Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun
  • Location: Liberty Station, 2590 Truxtun Rd., San Diego, CA 92106
  • Schedule: To be determined based on program needs and availability
