Ages 3-6 welcome!

Little ones learn best through exploration. Each week your young child will explore different crafts using safe, natural materials meant to engage curiosity and wonder. Through hands-on activities your child will learn to express themselves in a creative way while practicing fine motor skills, eye-hand coordination and much more.

This series is a wonderful introduction to a creative and nurturing learning environment. During each session your child will make a fun, quality project to take home. This weekly series is full of hands-on crafts for early childhood. Projects are Waldorf, Reggio, & Montessori-inspired.

All safe materials included. Projects and themes are changed monthly to keep young children grounded in rhythm with the shifting seasons. Students can return month after month to continue to explore, learn and develop their skills!

Drop-ins are welcome! Is your child curious about craft & taking a class with other children? We welcome trying things out. Choose ‘Drop In Date’ from the drop-down menu (please purchase 48 hours in advance so we can have supplies ready) and tell us which date you’re child will come in the Notes section at checkout.

This class series moves from indoors to outdoors depending on the craft activity, so we suggest:

• Dressing in layers, bring a jacket, hat, apply sunscreen (if needed) so your child can adjust to the weather.
• Bring water in a refillable water bottle.
• Dress your child in comfortable clothes that can get messy, depending upon the craft, we may use paints that sometimes don’t wash out.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

Hello incoming students! My name is Tres, and I am excited to be teaching arts, crafts, and circus basics this year.  After a career as a performing artist and painter, I have built a teaching method based on supportive expression, play-based learning, and inspiration guided curriculum.  I believe that everyone can find a spark of Art that interests them, and I’m ready to help it catch fire! Classes that are available will include traditional mediums such as watercolor and acrylic painting, clay and wood sculptures that can be decorated, as well as mixed media cutting and glueing projects.  In addition, with 11 years of teaching and practicing circus arts such as juggling, hula hooping, and balance, I will have lessons available for all ages and skill levels with no previous experience required! Thank you so much for your interest in San Diego Craft Collective.  I am looking forward to creating take home artwork and fun memories together!
